That's it, I've had enough.

It was fun when it started, a few days ago, but now the novelty has worn off, as the initial fluff turns into an annoying mass that's just plain difficult to struggle through, as I believe we can all agree.

Yes. It's time the BBC stopped taking "some snow fell, in winter", and turning it into hours of desperate over-exaggeration and badly-filmed outside broadcasts that get lamer and more laughable with every passing news programme.

Thank you, and goodnight.

Actually, I still like the snow.
Even after over three weeks.

Perhaps the BBC could devote some news time explaining to idiot drivers that the best solution to wheels slipping on ice is not "rev the engine as hard as you can, to get the wheels spinning *really* well and sliding excitingly sideways towards parked cars / people / buildings".

As do I. And I have a big grin on my face because there's more coming down in Bristol right this minute! But the cheesy BBC reports where idiots with microphones try to turn a car park with some snow on it into a ten-minute report on the chaotic, deadly arctic winter we're being brutally crushed by are really pissing me off now.

Oh, now that I do agree with, as the rest of us get on with our lives just as normally as we can.

I've not seen much bad driving in Bristol so far. But then I suppose I'm mostly either in the icy hilly streets that nobody's even attempting, or in the fairly well-gritted town centre...

The Evening Standard put it quite well, actually: In Scotland, it's called winter. In England, it's called Frozen Britain

I think that sums it up. You will have to imagine the da da dah voice Alex uses when he quotes it.

I think I can actually hear that in my head quite nicely. I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

In Scotland, it's called winter

To be fair, the Edinburgh crowd have been complaining about the conditions there, which are significantly colder than the usual.
