That's it, I've had enough.

It was fun when it started, a few days ago, but now the novelty has worn off, as the initial fluff turns into an annoying mass that's just plain difficult to struggle through, as I believe we can all agree.

Yes. It's time the BBC stopped taking "some snow fell, in winter", and turning it into hours of desperate over-exaggeration and badly-filmed outside broadcasts that get lamer and more laughable with every passing news programme.

The Evening Standard put it quite well, actually: In Scotland, it's called winter. In England, it's called Frozen Britain

I think that sums it up. You will have to imagine the da da dah voice Alex uses when he quotes it.

I think I can actually hear that in my head quite nicely. I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

To be fair, the Edinburgh crowd have been complaining about the conditions there, which are significantly colder than the usual.
