gothickSlightly hungover this morning. Went out for a slightly belated celebration of my birthday with the guys at work last night (figured it was best to wait until after pay day...) Was a good night, with much nattering to cool people. Met a few new people from work, too, as I'd arranged for us to be in the same pub as another person's leaving do, and lo, there was mingling. Cool.
Only downside was that I, as usual, got drunk too fast, so I bailed early. I may have annoyed Marie from work, who went home to sort out kid-related stuff, only to call me to find out where the party was just as I was about to go home. May have to call her up and see if I can buy her lunch by way of an apology.
Hmm. Such are the problems of starting drinking at 4pm, when you generally have no alcoholic self-control...
And I realised that I hadn't called my step-mother on her birthday, which is a bit crap of me, frankly. I'll have to call today. If I'm lucky, she'll have got the card, at least.
