Just a quickie for those on my flist who might find it appropriate :)

What a Lovely Name is a tag-based search engine for baby names. So you can choose "adventurous" and "intelligent" and see what names have been tagged with both. It seems to have a lot of non-English-rooted names, but that just makes it more interesting, for me...

Quite a fun thing to poke around with, anyway. It'll certainly be interesting for naming characters, as it obviously draws on the associations the public has between name and characteristics... Shame they're all positive traits, though. I mean, what if you want to name a baby, erm, I mean a character, for their "evil", "cunning" traits?

As an aside, it's also got fantastic web design, in a Web-2.0 kinda way...
