Attention kaveypie: Social Wallpapering was the site where I got that funky wallpaper¹. Sorting by "most popular" produces some pretty good results. I like the "abstract" section, myself.

Pointlessness

Hmm. My utterly pointless Facebook application now has seventeen users. People are strange.

In other news, I managed to escape my Greek aural test last night because the teacher was ill. Knowing me, this means I'll now slack off until next Monday and try to do last-minute revision again. Ho hum.

Oh, and speaking of pointlessness, I just added an RSS feed of new sentences to Unique Sentence. There's really something to be said for pointless web sites that do actually do something. It's great for learning web design/programming, because everything's real and live and you can even have a user community — but nobody's going to complain too hard if you break things...

Job Stuff

Oh, and in further news, I'm up for an interview to see if I can keep my own job, probably next week. I'm not particularly worried, mind, but it's irritating, especially as I've got enough bloody work to do at the moment without lots of fooling about with meta-work. And the rest of the department, all of whom are facing the same thing, are rather more worried, from what I've seen.

Someone mentioned that the interviews would be about 90 minutes long. I'm not sure I've ever been in an interview that's even approached an hour before. Hmm. Well, if I've got to be interviewed no matter what, then maybe I should take a look on JobServe and see what other jobs are going in Bristol. Come to think of it, I can probably worry my boss quite a lot by taking a random morning off next week. Hmm....
