Hall

Today, I have mostly been brightening up the hall. Good progress, especially as it needed a coat of PVA first, to stabilise a rather flaky surface. Will need another coat tomorrow, and I need to get some new skirting board, but I feel pretty accomplished.

Looking good. I like the blue that it was, but I can see how it would close the long, narrow hall in.

And it normally has Billy bookcases running along most of the long wall, so it feels a lot more closed in. But I chose the blue before I moved the bookcases there from the lounge...

I'm toying with the idea of replacing the bookcases with the uprights-&-brackets-style stuff, as that will be the most space efficient, and I'll still get to see some of the wall. But that'll involve a fair chunk of work, including the bit where I try not to kill myself by discovering where all the wiring goes from the fusebox (which is in that cupboard you can see at the far end of the wall in question...
