Penguins

Have just added a search facility to Unique Sentence. Oddly, the first thing I noticed when testing it was that two separate people have submitted sentences with the word "penguin" in them. And I've only got 34 sentences in total. That seems like a very high rate of penguins to me.

You can never have enough penguins.

Heh. Now, that's definitely not a unique sentence!

Were either of the sentences submitted by uk.misc-related folk?

That was just my thought!

Not that I can tell... (http://www.uniquesentence.com/sentences/searchsentences.php?sentencewords=penguin&dosearch=yes)

Ahhh

One was made of chocolate and one was dead!

That and the fact me and [livejournal.com profile] just_becky and I are best mates. So penguins tend to fall into out conversations alot for some reason.

Aha! So, it's your teamwork which is responsible for my unlikely frequency of penguins! And if that's not a unique sentence I'd be very surprised :)

Well, one was clearly about the misuse of Penguins for slurping of hot drinks when really one should be using Tim Tams. Tchuh!

Tim Tams don't waddle like penguins.

?

Whats a Tim Tam?

or am I going to regret asking this?

Well, I had to look it up. (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=tim+tam) And now I want one, damn it!

The story I've heard is that an Australian company decided they wanted a product similar to our Penguin biscuit and so the Tim Tam was born. And many would argue that it's even better than the biscuit that inspired it. Having tried several, I'd be inclined to agree.

And there's a tradition of using Tim Tams as straws for hot drinks - bite of one small corner and then the corner diagonally opposite - as one sucks the drinks through the biscuit it goes all hot chocolatey. Works best with tea, I find.

I assumed, when I read it, that the person who made that penguin/ coffee quote was simply trying the same thing using coffee instead of tea and a Penguin instead of a Tim Tam!

Heh. I didn't notice until you pointed it out :)

If I may be sad enough to mis quote

"These aren't the Penguins you are looking for, they are for sale if you like."
