From the footer of the "After your flu vaccination" letter I've just been given:

"Once printed, this document becomes uncontrolled and will not automatically be updated."

Now, you have to wonder how many people would have assumed that the printed version of a document would get automatically updated if they hadn't read that little disclaimer...

talk to martine - i suspect that in the industry it came from, large amounts of printed material *are* updated - and out of date documentation is destroyed.

as this is a handout, it's got a disclaimer that shows it's not part of this process

You mean the NHS aren't on self-updating nanopaper yet? Dreadful.

At least they know my blood group, and can send me stuff at the exact same time as the Blood Transfusion lot. Now if they can only arrange to run donation sessions at lunchtime...
