And in Reality I have met Captain James Kirk. He is a very nice man who invited myself and Michelle several years ago to the Officers Mess at the Duke of Wellington Barracks.
I remember asking who had invited us and she said Captain Kirk. My response was "Is is first name James with an initial of T", her response was yes how did I know his first name but she didn't know about the initial.
She couldn't understand why I was in a puddle tears and laughter, I think it was this kind of thing that endeared her to me. There are other stories with regard to Michelle and the military that endeared her more to me but you will have to get me drunk for me to spill the beans :)

To be pedantically, the Kirk/Uhura kiss was the first on America television ( 1968 ). The first ever was, as far as I know, in an episode of Emergency - Ward 10 in 1964 on ATV.
